The Initial Idea

The idea is to have a meeting for a week for an intensive reading course on Toric Geometry.

Each day a given topic will be covered. The speaker gives a lecture in the morning for 2-3 hours (with a break) and then in the afternoon we discuss some exercises, papers and related computer algebra packages. On each day the relation between the new definition and those given in previous days will be discussed.

There will also be some talks in the afternoons by participants. If you want to give a talk please write to me.

We start on Monday 11 A.M. The event takes place at the Science Park 2, room number 416. Note that there are two rooms with this number. We will be in the bigger one.
